Ask Inezi why he became a singer, and he answers simply.

"I was born a singer."
"I sing because I am supposed to."
"I loved singing. It made me feel good."

Born a singer. Not a choice — simply what he was meant to do. He loved singing, and that alone was enough.

As a child, forced to move from place to place across Jamaica through hardship, no matter how unjust the circumstances, the boy kept singing.

In high school, he formed his own group. The group he later formed, Konscious, was managed by Asafa Powell, with production work from Stephen McGregor.

Later going solo, Inezi performed at a BBC 1Xtra (Seani B) outdoor showcase in Kingston, building presence with "Roots and Culture" and "No Love," produced by Grammy-nominated producer Teflon Zincfence.

2022年、初のEP「Pain and Pleasure」をリリースし、Rodiganはこの作品を「first class」と評した。 Between 2020–2021, "African Proverbs" caught the ear of BBC 1Xtra's David Rodigan and surpassed 190,000 streams on Spotify. In 2022, he released his debut EP, Pain and Pleasure — a release Rodigan called "first class."

Inezi
And now
In 2026, Inezi puts down roots in two nations — Jamaica, where he was born and raised, and Japan, on the other side of the world — and begins again under a label of his own: MTM.
Inezi says:
What is human joy? What truly matters?
His music always seems to return to that question.
